Three days dedicated to the gurnard fish, the dolphin fish, which in this period is fished in local waters

Immediately after the Cous Cous Fest, the 10th edition of TempuRiCapuna enters the scene, the food and wine event dedicated to the Dolphinfish or more commonly known as Capone fish which from September to November is caught in large quantities in the waters near San Vito Lo Capo.

Like all blue fish, gurnard boasts notable nutritional qualities and, from being a "poor fish", it has become a very popular fish for its delicate taste and the variety of recipes in which it can be enjoyed.

The program is punctuated by various moments that denote different participatory characteristics

The Capone fish , also known as the Lampuga fish (scientific name *Coryphaena hippurus*), is a species of pelagic fish found in tropical and temperate seas. The dolphin fish is easily recognizable by its elongated and laterally compressed body, the iridescent blue-green color on the back, which fades to silver on the sides, and the very long dorsal fin. It is a predatory fish that feeds mainly on small fish and squid. Highly appreciated in cooking for its delicate and tasty meat, it is fished especially in the autumn months, when it approaches the coast.
