The true luxury of a vacation: being able to see as much as possible in the time available
Our stay in Valderice allowed us to visit a beautiful western Sicily, moving easily from our Hotel Resort.
Parco degli Aromi, a spa hotel, overlooking the sea of Cornino and Bonagia, gave us the pleasure of waking up looking at the sea and saved our time.
A weekend that enriched our experience in Trapani.
Breakfast would have deserved more time, to be tasted and enjoyed completely, but we could see the sea below us, and so it was the first desire. Following the road downhill where the Parco degli Aromi is located, we arrived at Bonagia, a small fishing port, simple and enchanting.
A place not much advertised, but definitely worth seeing.
From Bonagia we continued towards Custonaci, and more precisely Grotte Mangiapane. An unusual landscape, we felt like we were living inside a postcard from the past. The guide told us that the village inside the cave, during the Christmas period, hosts a living nativity scene. We walked slowly between the rocks and the bare vegetation around the cave, explored a bit of the Cofano reserve which, we were told, reaches a tower, on a path that can be done on foot. We returned to the Hotel (a few kilometers from the caves) for a shower and a quick lunch break.
We were satisfied and we had lunch still looking at the sea below us, while, with enthusiasm we planned the afternoon. Scopello, we would end the day at the sea.
An intense day, where we witnessed so much beauty. Before going to bed, an hour of relaxation at the Hotel Spa. What better way to end our first day? We fell asleep like babies.
The next day we already felt at home. We visited Erice, which was watching us from our window since our arrival and San Vito lo Capo in the afternoon. When we returned to the Hotel, the starry sky said goodnight.
We would have left the next day, visiting the city of Trapani in the few hours of the morning before taking the plane. Given the proximity of kilometers, we would have had time to do so.
A granita and the last farewell to this valley of our Hotel, Valderice. A healthy weekend, easy to live, light and full of emotions.
