Isulidda

Here is where the most beautiful sea in western Sicily is located!

The north-western coast of Sicily is a continuous surprise, its approximately fifty kilometers of coast, from Trapani to Castellammare del Golfo, are dotted with beaches and nature reserves among the most beautiful on the island.

In addition to the legendary white sand beach of San Vito Lo Capo, the coast is full of bays, coves and pristine cliffs, without forgetting the wild corners of the sea of the Zingaro Nature Reserve.

Sea, nature and relaxation just a few minutes' drive from San Vito Lo Capo.

Are snorkelling, diving and diving your passion? From Macari to Monte Cofano you will be spoiled for choice!

Baia Santa Margherita and the nearby coves

The map indicates the various coves on the coast.

Precious and uncontaminated, the coast that goes from Baia Santa Margherita to the Monte Cofano Reserve is closed to traffic from June to September, but can be traveled every day using the Ercolino train (free).

The Baia Parking can be reached by car or by shuttle bus from San Vito Lo Capo.

The beautiful beach of Baia Santa Margherita, also perfect for children, is just a few minutes from the car park, many prefer to reach it on foot to enjoy the suggestive panorama.

The coast is full of inlets and trottoirs, a long and flat coastal carbonate conformation that remains constantly on the water's surface. Formed following a cementification process of shells of some species of molluscs, they represent an important bio-structure typical of the Mediterranean Sea, similar to coral reefs.

Here the sea is crystal clear, it will seem like you are diving into a swimming pool. The waters are immediately deep, the right place for those who want to experience the sea in a dynamic way

Suggestive sandy coves open up between the rocks and allow for a simpler dive into the sea, probably once used by fishermen to unload the fish to take to the market.

Halfway along the route you will notice a bunker dating back to the last war.

Frassino area a few steps from the Monte Cofano Reserve

This stretch of sea characterized by iridescent colors and the profile of Monte Cofano has a low coastline on which a small sandy beach opens, called Frassino, while a little further on, before entering the Reserve, there are two beautiful beaches white pebbles the Agliareddi.

If you stay in Castelluzzo it will be a pleasure to reach the coast by bike.

Torre di Tono, inside the Monte Cofano Reserve

A swim under the ancient Tonnara Tower in Tono is an unforgettable experience. The spectacle of the Gulf, almost always calm, with the rocky walls of Cala Mancina in the background are truly one of the most beautiful things to see. It's really worth walking a few hundred meters.

If you want to get away from the crowds, take refuge in the tranquility of this corner of paradise... full of magic!

Below the Makari viewpoint, three well-loved beaches!

Isulidda

This small bay takes its name from the rock that is right in front of it "Isulidda" (small island). On the rock wall that dominates the coast you can admire the homonymous tower. An enchanting place both for the view over the entire gulf and for the ease with which it can be reached. Also suitable for children.

Treat yourself to an unforgettable sunset from the Belvedere di Macari!!!

Sea Ox

Nestled on the coast under the Macari viewpoint, it is bathed by a sea that oscillates between emerald green and turquoise, a true jewel of nature, this small pebble beach has its own particular charm.

For its extraordinary beauty it was decorated in 2015 with the title of "most beautiful beach in Italy" in a LegAmbiente competition. Its waters degrade gently and are therefore also suitable for children. It can only be reached on foot after leaving the car in the parking lot near the state road.

Pink Cliff

Powder-colored rocks slope down to the sea ... we can define this part of the cliff as a walkway over the sea. Transparent waters that invite you to swim and rocky platforms where you can lie down in the sun... a magical place! Sea shoes are useful, not very suitable for small children.

Cornino beach

The long beach of Cornino, particularly loved by the younger ones for its wild charm, is also equipped with very welcoming small lidos, while comfortable wooden platforms have been placed on the cliff area for the comfort of bathers.
