Erice opens Christmas with a far-sighted gesture. An international collection of over 100 nutcrackers and music boxes from the German manufacturers Steinbach and Ulbricht kicks off "EricèNatale – The Nativity Village," a journey that brings life, light, and a sense of community to the historic center until January 6th.

The village invites you to stroll. Three itineraries lead residents and visitors through medieval streets, churches, and natural caves, where over 30 handcrafted nativity scenes tell the story of the Nativity in different languages: Neapolitan, Sicilian, and contemporary. The new "Presepe Sportivo" competition, hosted at Palazzo Sales, combines faith and sport in five installations dedicated to the proclamation of Erice as the European City of Sport 2027.
The program opens with a meeting. Markets, music, and concerts enliven Piazza della Loggia, the Gebel Hamed Theater, and the Casa Santa Sales Chapel. Workshops for children at Santa's House create spaces for play and imagination.
The new year arrives in the square, together. Kawabonga transforms Piazza della Loggia into a large shared space, with music, stage sets, and fireworks. Museums, animated nativity scenes, towers, and churches remain open during the holidays.
Information points welcome you at Porta Trapani and Piazza della Loggia. Erice invites you to stop, observe, and participate. Here, Christmas is an experience that unites stories, people, and places.
