Like every year , Skyscanner, the search engine of global travel, has selected for 2017 the 15 most beautiful beaches in Italy.
In selecting the beaches, as always, are taken into account several factors: the cleanliness and condition of the waters, the particular beauty of the surrounding landscape and the many tips, always useful, of travelers.
Many of these beautiful beaches are often part of nature reserves such as Tonnarella dell'Uzzo.
Posted in first place in the list by Skyscanner, the splendid Tonnarella dell'Uzzo is just 15 minutes driving from San Vito Lo Capo.
With its clear waters and its white pebbles it is one of the wonders of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the first reserve established in Sicily in 1979.
This part of the coast of north-western Sicily stretching for 7 km from San Vito lo Capo to Castellammare del Golfo; called once Cetaria by the Greeks and Latins, because of the great amount of tuna fish crossing its clear waters, later he took the name of "Zingaro”.
An explosion of colors and perfumes, a riot of wild flowers and plants, a nature that invites long walks through paths bordered of wild orchids and lush palms; but always with an eye to that part of the sea that shines brightly.
Tonnarella dell'Uzzo really is the destination that cannot be missed if you love the sea and nature.
It is very easy to reach it because it is the first of eight beaches that run along the Reserve, coming from the north side (San Vito Lo Capo), in fact, once reached the parking lot, you quickly descend on foot following an easy path.
Who wants to cross the entire Reserve, we recommend using the hiking shoes and always carry a bottle of water with you.
The entrance fees are: 5 € full price, € 3 reduced.
