Touching the rock with your hands as you progress upward gives you a sense of profound connection. It's as if you become one with the wall you're climbing. It's a moment of profound inner connection between you and the crag. No thoughts crowd your mind, just deep concentration on finding the right grip for your hand, searching for the right place to place your foot to propel you upward, reaching the sky above you. You feel the rope sliding, which is your safety, but you feel free to proceed, and each climb gives you a sense of infinite beauty that makes you feel a part of it.
You slowly ascend, touch the chain, and gaze down upon the sea, which seems so close, its deep blue. You admire the immensely beautiful rocky landscape below you, and you feel a part of it. But it doesn't end there. You descend, hopping down onto the rock, arms outstretched, and you feel like you're flying. You wish the minutes would stretch, allowing you to hold on to the feeling of freedom flowing through you. Then the earth draws you back with gravity, back to your usual life. You high-five your companion, who belayed you and held your life in his hands; you're complicit in that shared moment.
You take off your climbing shoes and place your bare feet on the earth, which gives you that feeling of fulfillment, freedom, and joy. These sensations remain with you, making you dream of your next climb. You're there beneath the cliff next to the Cala Mancina cave, you grasp its uniqueness, just steps from the sea, and it seems natural after your climb to take a dip in the sea you admired from above.
Feel the embrace of the waves, which gives you a sense of well-being and releases all the tension accumulated during the climb. Even from there, you can admire the beauty of that rock face you conquered with such effort and joy. We're in a unique area that offers truly special sensations, where you feel at home! And after this experience at the cliff in San Vito Lo Capo, you know you'll want to return, perhaps for the sea, perhaps for the climbing, but certainly for its stunning nature.
