On Sunday, December 7th, admission to the Selinunte Archaeological Park is free. It's a great opportunity to explore the temples, hills, and paths overlooking the sea in one of the largest sites in the Mediterranean. Walking among the ruins of the Greek city, you'll pass from the Acropolis to the sanctuaries, all the way to the Eastern Hill, where the large sculptures from Stefano Bombardieri's exhibition "Pericolo di Esclusione" (Peril of Extinction) emerge from the ancient remains. Elephants, rhinos, and gorillas seem to have arrived from another time and blend into the archaeological landscape.

At 11:00 a.m., children aged 6 to 11 will participate in an animated reading inspired by Aesop's Fables. Starting with the Greek writer's animals, they will discover how they thought and acted as real people, drawing connections with the monumental figures present in the Park. The workshop, created in collaboration with the Haramundi association, will lead them to interpret the animals and then invent nursery rhymes and short texts.
The activity is part of the "Città che legge" project, supported by the Center for Books and Reading through the 2024 Città che legge call for proposals.
In the park you can rent bicycles and use multilingual audio guides to follow the recommended routes.
