Trapani, port for the Egadi Islands
Trapani, port for the Egadi Islands

Useful information for embarking towards Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo

Those who come on holiday to San Vito Lo Capo will probably not fail to spend at least one day on the Egadi islands .

The starting point for the Egadi Islands is the Port of Trapani which offers tourists an elegant and efficient maritime station, Fast Ferry Terminal, with waiting areas, bars and ticket offices.

Two companies leave from here daily: Liberty Lines and Siremar.

The service offered by Liberty Lines is carried out via a large fleet of hydrofoils and catamarans with daily trips to all the Egadi islands: Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo.

Siremar , in addition to some hydrofoils, carries out an efficient service via ferries which allow, in addition to the transport of passengers, also the possibility of taking your car on board. In this case the car can disembark exclusively in Favignana and, in the summer period, only if the stay is at least 5 days.

Those arriving at the port by car and wanting to leave it in a guarded car park can use the 24-hour multi-storey municipal car park which is located along Via Ammiraglio Staiti, about 500 meters from the hydrofoil boarding area and whose entrance is located in Via Trent.

Another area, but outdoors, is the Egadi car park, in Via Dei Grandi Eventi , about 1.5 km from the port but with a free shuttle bus service.

The port of Trapani enjoys a position particularly appreciated by tourists since the port inlet is an integral part of the historic centre. This allows you to enjoy the beauty of the oldest part of the city even if you are just passing through.

It is no coincidence that Trapani has been nicknamed "Port City" since ancient times.
