Libri, autori e bouganville

San Vito Lo Capo is preparing to host the 27th edition of "Libri, autori e bouganville," the historic literary festival promoted by the Municipality and the Pro Loco , with the artistic direction of writer and journalist Giacomo Pilati . The event will take place from July 8th to August 28th in the picturesque garden of Palazzo La Porta , confirming its position as one of the longest-running and most popular literary festivals in Sicily.

The program includes twelve evening sessions, all scheduled for 9:30 pm, featuring some of the most influential writers, journalists, and essayists in the Italian cultural scene. Opening the event on July 8th will be Buba Bha with "The Road of Courage," the powerful account of the journey that took him from Gambia to Italy, across the Sahara Desert, Libya, and the Mediterranean.

Numerous leading figures in contemporary publishing will be presenting during the festival. Among the most anticipated guests are Nicola Biondo with "The State Forger, " Lucio Luca with "The Last Resort, " Luca Bianchini , who will present "The Girls of Tunis," and Gaspare Grammatic with the latest chapter in the investigations of Inspector Nenè Indelicato. Also on the agenda is a meeting with Marzia Roncacci , author of "Penis Envy."

August will see the arrival of other well-known names in Italian fiction and journalism. Among them are Stefania Auci , who will present The Dawn of the Lions, the latest chapter in the saga dedicated to the Florio family; Virman Cusenza with The Other Garibaldi; Ninni Ravazza with The Kitchen of the Beggars; Pietro Grasso with U Maxi, dedicated to the Palermo Maxi Trial; and Antonio Caprarica, who will present Il Bullo, a book focused on Donald Trump.

Closing the 2026 edition on August 28th will be Luciano Mirone with Gente di Sicilia, a work that recounts the faces, stories, and identities of the island.
